Diana has been a registered professional nurse for almost 30 years.  She has spent most of her career working in various labor & delivery rooms, as well as in mother-baby units, and as a Lactation Consultant, helping new moms and their babies get off to a great healthy start in life. 
 
Diana is a graduate from Columbia University School of Nursing.  She is a  Women's Health Nurse Practitioner as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  She is a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, the United States Lactation Consultant Association, and its New York Chapter, NYLCA, as well as the New York State Nurses Association, and the National League of Nurses.
 
Diana has recently published in the February 2010 issue of the Journal of Human Lactation where she describes her discovery, the Pinky Maneuver, a technique which has been helping many new Moms unlatch the breastfeeding infant without causing nipple trauma. 
 
Diana has proudly served the country as a registered nurse in the United States Army Reserves during the 1990's.
 
Diana’s interest in breastfeeding was inspired during her childhood. She watched her uncle’s wife, Amalia, in the late 1960's breastfeed her three cousins despite its unpopularity.  Loves reading and spending time with family.   Born and raised in Brooklyn, where her parents still resides. Diana has been commuting daily from upstate New York for the past 14 years where she lives with her husband and three previously breastfed children.
